Of the companies that quoted for our approved single storey extension, Luke from Purrell was the only one that engaged very quickly with us and our building inspector to check various aspects and provided a lot of advice regarding the potential build. This was prior to us deciding who we would even contract with. This impressed me and the build went ahead with Purrell. We were happy with the continued engagement and response to our developing needs throughout the build and are very pleased with the finished product. The teams that worked on the build were all very competent and friendly, and worked hard to keep on schedule. Special mention to Tom who oversaw and completed much of the work himself to a high quality, spurred on by regular coffees! Luke sorted out a few minor post-build issues without any problem. Would recommend Purrell anytime.

Our property is split level, our existing kitchen was small and located at the front ground floor, the dining room on mid level. We decided to move the kitchen to the mid level and remove an existing wall of a bedroom to create an open plan kitchen/diner. I had already got planning consent and had structural engineers designs. We had several builders price the job, commit to start and then cancel at last minute. The job involved moving external drainage, connection to existing sewers, moving services (gas, water, electric), installation of steel beams, fitting of new kitchen, installation of new floor and converting old kitchen to room. After nearly 3 years of getting nowhere we found Luke's contact details, after mailing Luke he promptly made contact and said that this is the type of project he undertakes. Luke surveyed the job and gave a prompt quotation and a timescale of when he could start. The planning of the works was excellent as was communication throughout, there were unexpected issues as a result of the house design but Luke and the guys overcame these. Also with the job being project managed by Luke there was no hassle with having to find trades. The quality and professionalism of these guys is fantastic and they are not afraid of hard work. After 3 years of nightmares Luke and his team turned the dream into reality, giving us a really useable space and a kitchen we are proud of. I would most definitely recommend Purrell Construction.
